“The MOLE Clinic is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.”

About The MOLE Clinic

Founded in 2003, The MOLE Clinic® is a UK pioneer in skin cancer screening and early detection. With a mission to save lives through early diagnosis, the clinic has helped transform how skin cancer is identified and treated across the country.

Clinical Excellence

The MOLE Clinic developed the Screening Nurse Training Programme, the only programme of its kind accredited by the Royal College of Nursing. This ensures patients are assessed by highly trained professionals working to the highest clinical standards.

Innovation in Technology

In 2005, the clinic launched the UK’s first AI-powered Skin Cancer Screening App, designed to assist GPs in identifying potentially cancerous moles quickly and accurately. This innovation has been widely adopted by NHS GPs, helping to reduce waiting times and healthcare costs. The app has won UK Patient Safety Awards and was showcased at the London Science Museum.

Recognised Quality and National Impact

The MOLE Clinic’s commitment to excellence has been recognised across the healthcare industry. It has been featured by major media outlets including BBC and ITN, and regularly contributes to national awareness campaigns promoting the importance of early skin cancer detection.

A National Network with Life-Saving Results

With a growing network of eight clinics across the UK, The MOLE Clinic screens over 30,000 patients annually, both privately and through the NHS. By detecting skin cancers at their earliest and most treatable stage, the clinic plays a vital role in improving outcomes and saving lives.

In 2024, The MOLE Clinic celebrated its 21st anniversary, marking two decades of leadership, innovation, and dedication to skin cancer prevention.
